Genre: Drama, Family Film
From the trailers I already knew this film was going to make me cry but I am glad it did 😀 . The story was sad but charming, lovely and actually very inspiring. Jacob Tremblay (Auggie Pullman) was amazing and made us feel this poor boy’s pain of trying to survive school. The situation and the reactions around him makes you cry but also warm to his character 🙂 . What I adored and what surprised me was that this story was not all about him! I was surprised but loved that we saw the narration and story switch to others in this movie 🙂 . I liked learning about what Via (Izabela Vidovic) felt through all this and it made her one of my favourite characters 😀 . The acting was superb from everyone in this movie and the pace of film ran well 🙂 . I was not bored at any point throughout and one of my favourite scenes was near the beginning when Auggie mentions the “Punch-line” (I won’t say more as I don’t want to spoil 😛 ). I liked that the story did not run smoothly for the characters but I did not fear that I was going to get a depressive tale. The children and the acceptance from people was great to see later on and it made want to see another film (maybe of them older?) but I know that can’t happen 😛 . It was a great film that I would happily watch again, and I loved the idea and message of this tale plus I really need to read the book now 😛 !! I am sure fans of this book will enjoy this adaptation and it is fabulous for all ages to watch 🙂 . Enjoy 😀
I give this film 4.5 Stars out of 5!
