Happy Death Day

Happy Death Day (2017)

Genre: Horror, Mystery, Thriller

I was very excited to see this movie from the moment I saw the first trailer and when I did watch it I was not disappointed πŸ˜€ . This film is very unique and enjoyable to watch from the beginning to the end. This movie is a teen slasher flick but the fact the main character keeps coming back gave this film a great edge of interest πŸ™‚ . It was like a horror but also a murder mystery as you were gripped in the story trying to figure out who the killer was. The main character Tree Gelbman (Jessica Rothe), was actually not a nice character but I liked that as the film went on, she became so much more likable πŸ™‚ . This was very refreshing to be introduced to character like that. There was a good element of comedy with some of the witty and strong dialogue but not overpowering that it destroys the movie πŸ˜› . This movie is not scary horror at all but it is a very β€œjumpy” horror which does lead to a very entertaining movie. I think the overall cast acted well and I really liked how the film kept me guessing. I never guessed who the killer was and the surprise twist near the end definitely took me off guard πŸ˜› . I was very pleased that this movie avoided predictability when working with clichΓ©s from slasher movies. Plus I really liked the soundtrack to this film πŸ˜€ . This was a surprisingly fabulous movie that I would happily add to my DVD collection and watch over again πŸ˜€ . If you like horrors but with a twist or time repeating murder mysteries then this is for you πŸ™‚ . Enjoy πŸ˜€

I give this film 5 Stars out of 5!
