Don’t Breathe

Don’t Breathe (2016)

Genre: Crime, Horror, Thriller

This is one of the most unique and truly enjoyable horror movies I have seen in a long time πŸ™‚ . The twist is (mostly told in trailers, other reviews and blurbs of the film so watch out πŸ˜› ) amazing and kept me hooked throughout. The main three characters Rocky (Jane Levy), Alex (Dylan Minnette) and Money (Daniel Zovatto) are not likable characters especially Money. They (Rocky and Alex) are given reasons for their bad behaviour but you aren’t supposed to like them initially. However, when the robbing of the wrong house begins everything changed! I loved the constant shocks and surprises from The Blind Man (Stephen Lang) were brilliant πŸ™‚ . He was intense and terrifying plus the more we got to know him the more I felt for the teenagers. The fight scenes were great and the fear, nail-biting, edge of your seat moments were great πŸ™‚ . I loved the scene where the survivors are running from the cellar in the dark πŸ˜€ . I loved the danger element within that scene and loved that they must have actually filmed in the dark as their pupils were dilated. The main thing that is great in this movie was the facial expressions and body language of the characters especially Rocky and The Blind Man. She showed her fear and anguish through her facial expressions which had you hooked πŸ˜€ ! Plus Stephen Lang’s portrayal showed vulnerability, sadness, and anger which made him an intense character I have seen from a horror film for a long while πŸ™‚ . I also loved the ending which allows a promise of a sequel and if not, left it with a great feeling πŸ™‚ . A feeling that neither one of the characters are as good as the other leaving you questioning who truly is the victim? A great horror / thriller film that is very unique, great for horror fans and will leave you wanting more πŸ˜› . Enjoy πŸ˜€

I give this film 5 Stars out of 5!

This house looked like an easy target. Until they found what was inside.
