Rio

Rio (2011)

Genre: Animation, Adventure, Comedy, Family Film

This pleasant enough narrative aims to keep the whole family entertained but mostly the children πŸ™‚ . The story is easy to follow but enough to keep you captivated with a decent enough amount of humour πŸ˜€ . It has lovely sweetness and a decent villain to battle against even if the ending is quite predicable πŸ˜› . The scenery of this animation is pretty impressive and the colour scheme is great. It definitely makes you think of Rio and the music in this film is awesome πŸ™‚ ! The characters are all good and likable (some more than others) but overall they all complement the narrative. The beginning scene and how Blu (voiced by Jesse Eisenberg) was captured was great. There were moments in this movie that does try to shock (danger element for the characters πŸ˜› ). The villain Nigel (Jemaine Clement) was cool and he meets a pretty nasty end but fitting πŸ˜› ! The humans of this story were also good and it was nice to see two separate storyline running at the same time πŸ™‚ . I wanted the birds to succeed as such as I wanted the humans to find them. As much as I enjoyed this movie and could sit through the entire of it without being bored, it is not really that captivating. This movie aims too much for the children that it may grate a little for the adults. Overall though, it is still a wonderful film for the entire family if you overlook the predictability πŸ™‚ . Enjoy πŸ˜€

I give this film 3.5 Stars out of 5!
