The Great Wall

The Great Wall (2017)

Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy

This is a decent movie that I really enjoyed ๐Ÿ˜€ . The storyline was great, kept me entertained the entire way through and was captivating ๐Ÿ™‚ . I loved the graphics for the fight scenes, the monsters were simple to grasp but impressive and I believed them enough for the story. I even felt for the characters that had to go against them and felt for them as they tried to โ€œdefeatโ€ the monsters. The design was great in this movie with the different colours for each part of the army ๐Ÿ™‚ . The characters were great in this film and I felt like I got to know each one and their reason for being here. The majority of the cast is Asian (like Tian Jing) which is expected and great to see as this film is set in China ๐Ÿ˜› . Plus the reasons the โ€œWesternersโ€ (like the lead actor Matt Damon) are fighting for China (and here to save the day) was plausible for the narrative to continue. However, as much as I liked the fight scenes, the suspense, the edge of your seat actions, drama and shock (and sad) deaths the graphics arenโ€™t that great. The beginning sequence of the movie had shocking low quality and had me worried that the quality would let the movie down. The good news is that you forget the quality and it does seem to get better as the movie continues ๐Ÿ™‚ . So I suggest you try and ignore the first clip and appreciate the film ๐Ÿ˜› . A great film for anyone looking for looking for a decent Action and Fantasy movie! Enjoy ๐Ÿ˜€

I give this film 4.5 Stars out of 5!

1700 years to build. 5500 miles long. What were they trying to keep out?
