Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas

Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas (2003)

Genre: Animation, Adventure, Comedy

This is a fairly entertaining family movie that can keep most ages captivated. I loved the premise of this tale and how we are introduced to the villain straight away!! I really liked the villain Eris (Michelle Pfeiffer) as she moves so fluently, appeared evil, clever and quite unique compared to the other characters šŸ™‚ Ā . There is a level of predictability in this film such as a friendly animal on a ship, comedy elements, a romance between the leads and you probably can guess how it will end šŸ˜› . The CGI is a letdown in this movie. While it might have been effective back in 2003, now it is actually taking away from what could have been a set of impressive monsters. The narrative I have to give some credit for was full of action, fairly paced and quite entertaining šŸ™‚ . The reason the characters leave, the mission and the ending were intriguing and worked for the overall narrative. I did like the role of Marina (Catherine Zeta-Jones) as she held her own and Sinbad (Brad Pitt) was likable šŸ˜€ . Plus I really loved them as the romance build up was fairly believable and entertaining. My favourite scene was the sirens and overall, I actually really liked this movie šŸ˜› . This film is not the most well known and if you ignore the CGI plus predictability, then you will be surprised at how good this is. Enjoy šŸ™‚

I give this film 4 Stars out of 5!
