Arrival (2016)

Genre: Drama, Mystery, Sci-fi

The first thing I have to mention about Arrival is that I loved Amy Adams in this movie πŸ˜€ ! She was stunning as her portrayal of Dr Louise Banks and was very believable. Her position of power did not affect the story and it made sense for her to be helping the Alien situation (over anyone else). Plus that beginning introduction was a fabulous opening and helps make us connect with Dr Banks from the outset πŸ™‚ . Jeremy Renner was also good as Ian Donnelly and also created a believable secondary character. The narrative itself is quite long but doesn’t get boring so the length isn’t really a problem. The mystery of the aliens is created amazingly leaving you with a sense of wonder and curiosity πŸ™‚ . The surprise twist part way through the movie was seriously amazing and I was so surprised that I never expected it πŸ˜› . It is a very thought provoking movie and a definitely unique take on the Sci Fi genre. I would seriously recommend it to anyone looking for a Sci Fi / alien move that is different from the rest (in a good way πŸ˜› ). However, as much as I truly enjoyed the movie and the ending, I have to say it had an edge disappointment. I guess I felt her choice at the end (when you see it you will know) was a little depressive knowing what will come to pass will happen. Also the Aliens’ reason for being here is a little under impressive. However, it was good enough to finish the story. Overall, a great Sci-Fi movie that I definitely recommend πŸ™‚ ! Enjoy πŸ˜€

I give this film 4.5 Stars out of 5!
