Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (2016)

Genre: Adventure, Drama, Family Film

I had seen so many trailers for this movie and had been very excited to see this 😀 . It did not disappoint! This narrative was very entertaining and was captivating throughout. Tim Burton has worked his magic with the story, casting, colour and set! It is the type of Tim Burton movie I prefer, plus I think all ages can happily enjoy and be enthralled by this gripping tale. The story begins well, builds up, gets a decent battle sequence (for a family movie with powers 😛 ) and ending was great 🙂 . The ending was fabulous because it is a happy ending, felt fulfilling and was not as cheesy as one might expect 😛 . I really loved the children in this movie and loved the powers 😀 . I really liked the character of Emma (Ella Purnell) but my true favourite has to be Millard (Cameron King) who was absolutely funny! There are some nice scenes such as the “Time-Loop” and the “Raising of the Ship”. The hollows were pretty cool and scary 😛 Samuel L. Jackson played a great part of Barron and I loved the scene where he gets his comeuppance (won’t say no more as I don’t want to spoil 😛 ). There may be parts where it could have been done better, but for me that wasn’t a problem. I truly enjoyed this film, loved the relationships and loved that I couldn’t predict what would happen next! Plus the whole different time and era thing really works in this film 🙂 . A great family movie that I definitely recommend 😀 Enjoy 🙂

I give this film 5 Stars out of 5!
