Swallows and Amazons

Swallows and Amazons (2016)

Genre: Family Film, Adventure, Children

This is a wonderfully pleasant adaption of a children’s book that the entire family can enjoy 🙂 . I have not read the book but I do know that this film has diverted from the original tale and even from the era it is set in 😛 . However, that shouldn’t matter as the story is engaging, entertaining and interesting. The pace of the tale was good, had a decent amount of suspense and drama while having an old war time children’s story nostalgia 🙂 . The acting is superb in this film especially the children! My favourite was Roger (Bobby McCulloch) who was simply adorable and acted fabulously for his age. There are some funny moments in this film especially the “boat theft at night” scene which had me in stitches 😀 ! The relationship between the children was believable as a family and the character of Captain Flint (Rafe Spall) worked for this story as well (his role in the film). The scenery is wonderful and the action scenes (that are probably not in the original story) were gripping! Overall, a fabulous children’s movie that is simply pleasant but not mediocre. There are plenty of stuff in this movie for all ages to be entertained. Enjoy 😀

I give this film 5 Stars out of 5!
