Kick-Ass 2

Kick-Ass 2 (2013)

Genre: Action, Comedy, Crime

I was worried about watching this sequel as often many films that have a sequel fail horrendously. However, to my surprise it is actually amazing πŸ˜€ . Obviously, some of the jokes are quite rude and are not for those easily offended πŸ˜› . The story this time centres around Dave Lizewski (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) as before and Mindy Macready (ChloΓ« Grace Moretz). It works well and keeps the narrative interesting and captivating πŸ™‚ . Majority of the old cast has returned and you do notice that the character of Tom is now played by a different actor. I loved Mindy’s story the best and her attempt to be normal πŸ˜› . Though I did enjoy the rise of the superhero team being built up and there are plenty of action scenes. They reuse an familiar bad guy from the first film and the new ones they introduce like Mother Russia are quite impressive πŸ˜› . The second half of the movie is better than first half as they do focus on the jokes and rude humour a little too much. Though with the surprise death and really cool ending you forgive it πŸ™‚ . Brilliant sequel and I would love to see another film (if they make another πŸ˜› ). Enjoy πŸ˜€

I give this film 4.5 Stars out of 5!
