Ghostbusters (2016)

Genre:  Comedy, Sci-Fi, Fantasy

Okay let’s start off this review by saying that this is not a sequel in the original sense, this is definitely a reboot. But it isn’t as bad as people are saying 😛 . I think unfortunately, everyone (including myself) loved the originals and aren’t giving this film a chance. The films narrative is fairly entertaining and interesting enough to keep you captivated. I loved the beginning sequence, slightly terrifying ghosts and it built the tale well 🙂 . I loved the CGI and the ghosts behind the mirror were effective. The four main actresses worked well together as a team and were funny most of time 😀 . There are some moments were the humour can get a little awkward but they were far and few between 😛 . Chris Hemsworth plays a good part as the dumb receptionist 🙂 . I really liked the battle to save New York and the way they solved the “apocalypse” was unique and impressive. I also enjoyed the fact we saw cameos from the original cast (keep an eye out so you don’t miss them 😛 ). I really enjoyed this, I liked the pacing of the story, the ghosts (and possessions) are cool and I did find parts quite funny. Even some of the ghosts, like the Mannequin, are pretty freaky too 😛 . Overall a decent reboot (kind of sequel) that is worth a watch and doesn’t take anything away from the originals 🙂 Enjoy 😀

I give this film 3.5 Stars out of 5!
