Eddie the Eagle (2016)
Genre: Biography, Comedy, Drama
This is a great heart-warming film that tells a great (based on true life) story π . I knew of Eddie the Eagle beforehand (who doesn’t π ) but I was not very aware of his story so I had no expectation. I don’t know how true this biography is but it was very entertaining, interesting, captivating, funny and touching π . The characters were believable and likable. Taron Egerton was fantastic as Eddie who created a lovable personality to the screen, probably his best performance yet as an actor π . Plus Hugh Jackman was good as the supporting actor in this film and also created a likable character as Bronson Peary. What I loved about this film was feeling of the authenticity. Nothing seemed to be Β forced or over acted and the jumps were good π . Those Ski Jumps (each one, crash or succeed) were “edge of the seat” moments as they were very convincing π . This may not be the most accurately correct biography (probably 90% made up) film ever made but I generally enjoyed it π . If you are looking for a feel good movie with a decent narrative than I seriously recommend this movie π . Enjoy π
I give this film 4.5 Stars out of 5!
