Brother Bear 2 (2006)
Genre: Animation, Adventure, Comedy
First off, I will give credit to Disney for trying to create a decent narrative for the sequel to Brother Bear. It makes sense, the characters have a good reason to go off on an adventure and it was quite interesting. The character of Nita was different, likable and she added a good quality to the film 🙂 . She kept reminding me of other Disney Princesses and films which is not good for a strong independent character. However, she made up for it in her two really cool scenes; the wedding at the beginning and a transformation scene (I would say who because I don’t want to spoil 😛 ). Kenai bothered me because he wasn’t like himself (the character you like in the first film) and he is now voiced by Patrick Dempsey instead of Joaquin Phoenix. Some of the side characters were quite annoying (racoons). The first song was good but so much was missing from this film that I wished had been there (his brother Denahi from film 1). A pleasant enough animation that the family can enjoy but it really takes away what was so good about the Brother Bear. Enjoy 😀 !
I give this film 2.5 Stars out of 5!
