Oh dear. This sequel does not live up to its original at all. The theme is to get Quasimodo a girlfriend and get him one they do. And that is about it for the narrative. It was so disappointing. The characters’ drawings were off, some of the characters’ colours weren’t right and you notice it a lot more when watching the first one only a few days ago 😛 . They had taken away some attributes of characters like Esmeralda who had lost her spunk or something like that. The only thing that was good about this film was Madellaine, she was nicely crafted and was likable. But she was the only thing they focused on. Their “love” was so sudden (Even for Disney) that it felt like I had missed a scene. They created a weak plot, songs were cheesy (not epic like the first) and the film felt like a television spin off aimed at just children. Such a real shame and if you are a fan of the original do not watch this film!! Enjoy 😛 !
Shall I start with the good things for this movie first? Okay, the special effects and the overall look of this film is spot on 😀 . Truly amazing. The scenes where we have big explosions and dramatic nail biting tensions in space really pays off with the amount of Special Effects added to this film. And I really do enjoy the idea and the overall narrative was good. Plus Sandra Bullock and George Clooney performs fantastically within this film 🙂 . Now here comes the bad sections. It may have been playing to the most perfect thriller style movie that had even been created but quite honestly it wasn’t for me. I was slightly bored in sections and felt like I was waiting an age for her to do something. However, I can forgive that. What I couldn’t forgive was the section with Matt Kowalski. If you have watch it you know what scene I mean. It made me angry because I wanted that to be real. That’s as far as I will complain without spoiling 😛 . A film that is worth a watch at least once in your lifetime 😛 Enjoy 🙂 !

This is a truly amazing Disney film with a fantastic soundtrack! Seriously there are some epic, spine chilling, heart breaking songs in this film 😛 . Hellfire, Heaven’s light and the Bells of Notre Dame to name some 😛 ! The art work for this film captures the overall dark atmosphere which is unusual for a Disney film. The mood, the drama is really thought provoking and even though the things they do to Quasimodo is terrible…it is really good for the fantastic narrative 😀 . The story will captivate you and have you on the edge of your seat because some of the things the main characters have to deal with! Frollo is an epic villain and Quasimodo is one of my favourite heroes of Disney. The ending is great and very Disney 😛 . Also the edition of talking gargoyles isn’t annoying 😛 ! A charming yet dramatic animation that I recommend to everyone 😀 ! Enjoy 🙂 !
I was so excited to see this film since I am a big fan of the original classic 😀 ! This is good sequel but quite honestly, I am disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, I do still love this and will probably still buy the DVD but something was missing. The dinosaurs were good, characters good enough and I loved the references to the original film! However, I don’t think the narrative was a strong and as captivating as it could have been. I was kept waiting between actions and I don’t think there was enough dramatic or sad losses within this movie. It was great when the dinosaurs where attacking but it felt like a long wait between each attack scene. It’s a real shame as it ended like that as I felt, well not wowed as I should have been. Really good enough to watch, a nice addition to the Jurassic franchise. I liked the music (same as original 😛 ) and really good dinosaurs 😛 . A film simply for Dinosaurs and nostalgia 🙂 Enjoy 🙂
First off the whole reason I was attracted to this film was to see Keira Knightley 😛 . Not because I am a fan of her work but I have seen good films with her in (Pride and prejudice) and she doesn’t disappoint 😛 Actually there was a brilliant range of stellar actors in this film 😛 . Jude Law was even more amazing then Knightly as he played that character so I well I kind of forgot it was him 😛 ! While other cast members just made me think of other shows they were in (Downtown Abbey for example?). I really liked the idea of the “Theatre” design and visual / symbolic references throughout this film. This did make it different but unfortunately where it really worked at the beginning it became obsolete nearing the end. I kept switching from really good “Theatre” reality moments to “actual” reality setting. This didn’t help the narrative. Overall, I liked the story but the scenes weren’t strong enough that the ending didn’t give me a great impression. Personally, I don’t know what could have made this film better. Being more arty or more realistic? Enjoy 😀 !
This is a truly amazing comedy that was 10 times better than I had imagined. It is a parody / satire on the classic superheroes stories that we have seen used throughout films too many times 😛 . I liked that they made the entire film from the “Villain’s” point of view, it made a nice change 🙂 . This film stars the voices of Will Farrell, Tina Fey and Brad Pitt. My favourite character was Megamind himself as he was eccentric and the best scenes in this film were his 🙂 Especially in the way he reacted to other characters in the film. I loved the romance in this movie as it was the right amount without taking away from the real plot. This film’s narrative and characterisation is what makes it humorous, delightful and brilliant 😛 I serious recommend this film which is great for children and adults alike 🙂 Enjoy 😀 !!
This biography movie about two women (in different decades) and their connection to cooking is a truly good film. Meryl Streep is amazing as Julia Child as she is realistic, captivating and her portrayal made me want to start cooking 😛 . Amy Adams was also brilliant as Julie Powell and her acting was inspiring 😛 . The whole feel of the film was uplifting (even in the sad parts) and was entertaining. You felt for the characters (from both sides of the tale) and the entire cast created the right atmosphere for the movie 🙂 . However, the only thing that disappointed and left a really bad feeling towards film was near the end. Whether what Julia did was justified or not (real or changed for dramatic effect) made me angry and serious disappointed. It changed the feel of the film in a instant and not for the better. Still a really good film to watch (even if for the acting alone) but be warned about the ending. Enjoy 🙂 !
This is a chick flick, fairytale style movie aimed at young girls and diehard fans of this genre 😛 . That aside, it is a really spectacular film 🙂 . I watched this movie back in 2001 (I think, I was a little girl then 😛 ) and it was the first time I ever saw Anne Hathaway and was captivated! She is amazing in this, fresh, pure talented and her on screen relationship with Julie Andrews makes this movie. The comedy sections are still relatable today even if the feel still reminds of the 90’s / early 2000s chick flick movies 😛 . The romance is sweet and the narrative is constructed very well. That is makes you interested, entertained, hating the “mean” people and crying along with Mia with her heartfelt moments. I love the makeover scene in this the best and the training up to her becoming a Princess. A great film that I recommend though it is suited to girls more 😛 ! Enjoy 😀 !

The Lion King is amazing! It is everything a animal oriented Disney film should be 😛 ! The characters are constructed well that you are crying, laughing and are believing in them throughout. You can clearly hear Jeremy Irons’ voice as the fantastic Scar who is a brilliant Disney Villain 😛 . I always cry at a certain scene (if you have watched it you know it 😛 ) and the scene near the end of the movie (Simba + walk up pride rock 😛 ) is truly wonderful 😀 ! The music helps the feel of the majority of the film and the “sung” songs are truly great. Literally, you will be singing along throughout!! Every character was great in this from the comedy duo (Timon and Pumba) to the eccentric Rafiki. A great story (based of Hamlet by Shakespeare), a heartfelt film which will stay with you forever :D! Enjoy 😀 !!
