The anticipated live action remake of Disney’s Classic Cinderella is here! And it did not disappoint! It was a wonderful film that captured the heart of all who watched, children and adults alike 🙂 . The cast were all superb, each one helping to create the overall Disney Magic. Lily James was adorable as Cinderella and looked stunning in that dress!! Richard Madden played a fantastic Prince Charming, Cate Blanchett was wicked good as the Evil Step Mother and Helena Bonham Carter was amazing in her portrayal of the Fairy Godmother 😀 ! The Pumpkin scene was different, quirky and funny 😛 A different take on making the carriage 😛 ! The ball scene was the best but I did like extra details and information we were given about all the characters in this film. It made it different from the 1950’s Classic. A fantastic movie that I would happily watch over and over again. Enjoy 😀 !!
This is the third instalment to the Madagascar films and it keeps up the high standards 🙂 ! The narrative is still funny, entertaining and exciting as you would expect and I personally loved the “Non, je ne regrette rien” scene! They finally give a romance for Alex and new interesting characters that help the narrative along! I did keep wondering what had happened to Alex’s parents in the second film (which this is following) as they don’t acknowledge them once. Maybe I have forgotten what happened in the last one (I haven’t watched it in a while) but I found it odd. The colours for the circus performance was bright and was a very good scene! I truly enjoyed this film and I think the script writers/ director played the ending well giving these films a final send of :D! I know there is a fourth one but this film stands as a good finishing point for the main four animals. Plus the romance for King Julien was funny! This is a film that deserves a watch. Enjoy 🙂 !!
I hadn’t read this book or seen any trailers when I went to see this film so I watched with no reservations. I loved this film 😀 ! It was very sweet yet captivating at the same time. I loved seeing a side of Second World War that I have not seen before. The action was not as wow as one might expect during a war film but I felt that it complemented the level Romance we were given. I did want to see more Romance between Lucile and Bruno but that might just be me 😛 . The chemistry between the two leading actors was very convincing. I personally liked the narration of the film which helped the overall atmosphere of the film and I like that actual French voices were used in the radios / papers and Germans spoke German! It made it seem like the film truly is set in France even if the actors are speaking in English for our benefit. The ending was not the best in the world but when learnt why…it made the film better in my opinion. A little gem that really needed to be watched! Enjoy 😀 !!!

The first thing you notice from this film is all the bright colours and artwork which incorporates Lewis Carroll’s Wonderland perfectly 🙂 . There was not much action within this film but I felt like it had the right amount to push the narrative along. The narrative is captivating and with the strange colours of the world you can’t help but get lost in “wonderland” which makes you interested to see who Alice will see next. The characters are all unique, Alice is likeable enough and also funny. I do feel sorry for the rabbit in this film though 😛 ! The songs are unique, crazy yet clever with the lyrics. A very enjoyable movie, captures the madness and can be enjoyed by all! It’s worth a watch! Enjoy 🙂 !!
Good idea, brilliant actors, following off from a great trilogy of films then why did it wow me? I have to admit I have not gotten round to re-watching the Bourne Films so I kind of came to this film with not much knowledge of the films. You really need to watch the other films first otherwise it is really confusing. I really liked the beginning, it could stand alone as a really good action movie, good promise and really captivating 🙂 . Then it got about half way into the movie, started taking typical action movie clichés and all went downhill. There was so many battles I got lost on who was fighting who. When it ended I was still wondering how they resolved the situation. It felt like an ending was thrown at me, expecting me to accept it when I was still confused and questioning the movie. Rachel Weisz and Jeremy Renner are the best things in this movie 🙂 . I just simply got bored. It is a decent action movie which didn’t feel like a Bourne film (though you need to watch the others for it to make sense) and is passable enough to watch. Enjoy 🙂 !
This film shows all about the horrors of war, gritty, lots and lots of action. Lots of explosions. Rain. Gunfire. That’s mostly what you get from this film. Quite honestly I finished this film still wondering what the film was actually about. The characters were cliché and I really didn’t like the rest of group (excluding Logan Lerman and Brad Pitt). They were crude, mean and quite honestly I felt nothing for them. I started the film with no expectations and expected some sort of narrative to develop but it never did. The battles were ok, deaths gruesome and sometimes shocking. My favourite section was in the German town with the two women but they ended quickly and just began the rest of non narrative film. If you want to watch something with a tank, action and explosions then this is for you. If you want to watch a brilliant war film, with amazing characters and a decent narrative then pick something like Saving Private Ryan.
I was recommended to watch this film for a fresh take on the Classic Dracula tale and it was worth it 🙂 . The acting of Luke Evans was amazing as Dracula, totally believable and a fresh take on what we expect Dracula to be. The narrative was well structured and really enjoyable 🙂 . I know it might not be historical, literary or anything correct but I took as fantasy, a made-up tale, which was captivating! This version of how Dracula came to be was fresh, I liked the end battle the most and their versions of Vampires. Stunning scenery and I really loved how “Dracula” controlled the bats in the movie! Very impressive. A good balance of action and narrative, with fantasy thrown into the mix, creating a brilliant ending making me want to see more. If they don’t make a sequel I will be very upset 😛 ! Enjoy!
A classic chick flick that delivers exactly what you expect 🙂 ! It is hilariously funny and the culture references / jokes they created can still make you laugh. Amanda Bynes plays a really good part and this is my favourite film (so far) of hers. There are references to Twelfth Night (what it’s loosely based off) but not many. The costume of Amanda (when she becomes a boy) is passable but as an audience you have to use some imagination. She looks nothing like her twin (James Kirk) and you are surprised how the characters in the film are so clueless. However that does not take anything away from the film 🙂 . The film focuses a lot about football (American Soccer) which follows the theme of many early 2000 teen flick movies but again you have to just accept it as you watch the film. It delivers something funny, great cast, predicable ending but a great to watch with your friends. Enjoy 🙂 !
When I first decided to watch this film I actually thought the idea of someone getting a voicemail of their own death sounded good. Boy, was I wrong. This film is very bad. It clichéd, predicable and the ending just gets confusing. The main character appeared dumb, far too dumb for a horror, and her friends weren’t much better. Because there was no character development it lacked any compassion when they died (or death was near). The idea of the phones contradicted what was possessing it. It never explained the relevance of phone properly and if it did I missed it because the ending just got weird. The “body” crawl at the hospital could have been good if the CGI wasn’t as bad as it was. It ended with unnecessary deaths and I was so disappointed the film wasn’t more supernatural. If you looking for a bad horror to laugh at with friends ( we all need to watch bad ones now and then 😛 ) then this is for you!
