The Wind Rises

The Wind Rises (2013)

Genre: Animation, Biography, Drama

This is the first Anime biography film I have seen so far and let me say it is brilliant ๐Ÿ˜€ ! It tells us all about the life of Jiro Horikoshi who designed the Japanese fighter planes. I had not known much about this man but the film was very informative without becoming boring. It kept the magic of most films from Studio Ghibli but kept a sense of seriousness about it. The artwork was sublime ๐Ÿ™‚ ! I also enjoyed how they had used voices for the sounds of the “planes” and various other dramatic moments, making it very unique. It was wonderful written, gripping, charming and constantly hinting the horrors of the Second World War. It was refreshing and the ending had me in tears! I definitely recommend this film! Enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚ !

I give this film 5 Stars out of 5!
