I do like this film but it doesn’t really match up to the original. Once again the graphics aren’t that great compared to films of today but the actors tried to match up to their first attempt (in the 2002 movie 😛 ). I did love the start and the scene in the museum was brilliant. The idea of using old monsters (ones they had already unmasked) brought back a bit of the magic from cartoon series. Some scenes got a little overboard, dragged and the jokes at times got too cheesy. But I did love the mansion/house scene, the potion scene and it was overall enjoyable. Therefore, if you liked the first one and the original Scooby Doo series, then this is the film for you 🙂 .

The minute you watch this film you will fall in love with the character of Stitch! He is a cheeky, funny and lovable character that had some of the best scenes (the little duckling scene). The general overall story is written well and whether you are a child or an adult, it will keep you entertained 😛 . I loved the songs in this movie, the whole Hawaiian theme and the beginning section (when we are introduced to Lilo for the first time) with the dances, is one of my favourite. It will always be one of my favourite Disney Movies (that does not include a Princess 😛 ) but Lilo annoyed me at times. It was only a slight dislike mind you, but her attitude at the beginning (as much as I understood) made me prefer Nani. However, please watch this film, you will not be disappointed!

First off I have to note that the graphics are bad in this film now compared to great CGI films of our decade and some of the acting gets a little too false. However, it is a really good children’s movie :). I have been a fan of Scooby-Doo since I was a child (I was about 10 years old when I first watched this movie 😛 #targetaudience :P). The actually story is surprising good and keeps you entertained as an entire family (My dad who is in his 50’s loved this film as well). I think they chose the actors well as they looked and acted just like the characters from the cartoon. It was very funny, played well to the origin (Scooby Doo franchise) and actually had a narrative that they stuck to :P. Overall a fun, early 2000 movie that I recommend for a lazy afternoon :).
The song from footloose is the most memorable thing from this movie (Almost everyone I know can sing the lyrics of this song :P) and overall it is a good 80’s movie. However, it was not as good as I hoped it would be. I was expecting to see a film that would have a great story line and I would feel happy when it finished. The story line was okay, Kevin Bacon played his role brilliantly, I liked the dances, the middle section was the best but I was not happy near the end. It felt rushed. We were presented with a fight which was not really a fight then a “lets just dance” (which was good) but the story’s resolution was incomplete. The bad guys feel like they just gave in rather than the lead boy winning. I really disliked the character of Ariel Moore. The scene at the beginning made her seem reckless, selfish and self-centred which did not help the film. I felt nothing for her because of that first scene and even when we were meant to feel more of her, I could not care less. Overall, if you want to see a 80’s movie that makes you nostalgic and something for a lazy day then this is the film for you 🙂 . Personally, it was too gritty for what it was meant to be and I would have liked to see more music and more dancing because isn’t that the point of the movie?
I was very excited to see the latest film in the Hunger Games series and wanted to see how they could split the book into two movies. I was happy to find that they can and still have plenty of stuff left from the book to put into part 2 😀 The film was gripping, dramatic and had me completely entranced into the world of the film. Jennifer Lawrence’s performance was stunning as Katniss she played her “grief” well. I personally liked the added elements that were not included in the book, like seeing what was happening in the other districts and it was lovely to see more of Elizabeth Banks (Effie Trinket) 🙂 ! It was the best part 1 of a film that I have seen in a long time, it made me desperate to see more of the film and kept me entrance throughout! Please watch this film if you are a fan of the other movies!
This film began well, started with an interesting narrative and had an good cast. However, it failed to keep me intrigued. It was about a young girl turned assassin and she travels across the world (Mostly Europe). Saoirse Ronan played the role well but the problem with this film was the end half. It went on for far too long, it lost it’s point and I just got confused. It was trying too hard to be “Arty” and different as a movie with the lighting and the “strangeness” of the tale. The story was annoying and ended just as I expected it would. I suggested the ending half way through the movie and stopped paying attention. It’s a rather pointless movie and I would recommend you to avoid this film. Unless you’re a film student then watch it for research purposes.
I did not know what I expected from this unknown Marvel movie (as I never read the comic, anything I learnt from Marvel comics is from films and cartoons :P). So, My sister and I decided to give this film a shot. It was Amazing 🙂 ! I loved the 1980’s songs and reference that kept being used throughout. The narrative was dramatic, intense, linked well with the Marvel Universe and had me begging for more! My favourite character was Groot and some of the scenes where spectacular (without spoiling anything 😛 ). I have never laughed so hard for a Marvel Movie before and it has become my favourite (of the Marvel films) ! I seriously recommend this film!! Enjoy!
This film disappointed me so much it is actually unbelievable. I have only not finished a film once in my life and this one came a very close second. Why do I dislike it so much? Because it failed to make me laugh. It was suppose to be a comedy…Okay. I liked the role of the evil queen (Julia Roberts) and quite honestly she was the one who is worth recommending. All the actors in this movie I know can act and would love to see them in other films but it’s the narrative that ruined this film. It fell apart, made no sense, was not funny and I felt a bit like Alice trapped in Wonderland. I liked how the queen could travel in the film and I liked Lily Collins at the beginning. But the dress at the end was awful and even with the odd appearance of Sean Bean did not save this movie.
Everyone I knew in my University Class raved about this movie when it first came out. Therefore, I was determined to find out what all the hype was about 🙂 . The narrative is simple but the script itself is what makes this stand out! It has great music! Myself personally, loving the end song of the Bellas however the singing of Benji (Ben Platt) blew me away with “I got the Magic”. The film has plenty of laughs and it has definitely secured itself as one of my favourite films 😀 . Sometimes, I got annoyed at the narrative but that did not last long and Rebel Wilson who played Fat Amy was spectacular! If your a fan of music and like shows like Glee…then this is the film for you!!
