Happy Halloween 😀 ! This is a classic 90’s Halloween movie that I have loved since childhood! The three witches are my favourite played by the fantastic Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker 😀 ! The entire Cast are great and the film’s narrative gives us plenty of drama, a good story and plenty of laughs! The songs are great from this film, “I put a Spell on you!” and the song with Sarah’s character is brilliant. The overall story puts me in a good mood each time I watch it, the story keeps me entertained and I love the ending of this film 🙂 . It is a perfect Halloween movie where you get to see a witch on a hoover :P!! Also if you’re a fan of NCIS you get to see a very young Tim McGee (Sean Murray) !
Sorority Row is about a group of sorority sisters covering up a prank gone wrong and our typical slasher / horror cliché begins. Personally I actually enjoyed this film and was surprised by the change in direction in this narrative 🙂 . The beginning was constructed very good so we got a sense of the characters and a good beginning of the story. I even liked the ending with the three girls walking out of the burning building and the overly happy scene straight after the horror. However, the middle section had faults. The acting got a little off and I began disliking some of the girls, especially the character Maggie, and the deaths got a little O.T.T. (The Bottle death for an example). If you want to watch a horror film with a lot of deaths, some nostalgia to horror films, and a passable enough tale…then this is the one for you 🙂 !
When I first picked up this film, I pictured it would be another slasher movie involving kids in a Cabin. Oh, how I was wrong 😛 . This film does play upon the cliché expected for this type of genre but had me surprised at every turn! It had a very cleverly written script that gave you everything you expected from a horror but with a fantastic supernatural twist from the outset. The acting of the main five actors were superb 🙂 I especially liked the acting and characters of Chris Hemsworth and Fran Kranz! If you want to watch a seriously good horror this Halloween, that plays on the cliché in a good way, than this is the film for you!
This is the third installment to the Jurassic Park film franchise and in my opinion it is a better sequel than number 2 😛 ! Why is it better? Alan Grant is back 😀 ! Also so is Dr. Ellie Sattler and I appreciated that the director made references to the original film (by playing the music and mentioning the Raptors). It was a very good opening and they gave you plenty of Dinosaurs / attacks to keep you attentive! I personally felt sorry for the Pilot (the one who lasted the longest) as he had the funniest lines: “If we split up, I’m going with you guys”. Also the character of Amanda. I appreciate why she is there but she became annoying quite fast and I was praying for one of the dinosaurs to get her. It was action packed, the narrative actually made sense and I loved the bird-cage scene :). A highly recommended sequel to Jurassic Park but still not as perfect as the original :P.

This was a pleasant enough narrative but I am not sure whether I would call it a film. I do actually enjoy this film and I give credit to the writers for sticking to the original characters (keeping in the same villains) 🙂 . However, it really is just three episodes put together under the impression of creating a story for the mice. If you like Disney Princess movies, love Cinderella and would like a little light relief then this is the film for you 🙂 . I enjoyed it better as a sequel than other Disney films (The Little Mermaid 2 as a example) but it lacks a dramatic plot and it can be a little cheesy 😛 . Though it is highly enjoyable if you want to see something simple and Disney 🙂 Plus the final section / story was my personal favourite 😀 .
This was a pleasant enough film that Star Trek fans would enjoy 🙂 The show has a nostalgia feeling to it, seeing the original actors playing the roles. But, you can’t help but compare to the new versions. The psychedelic time travel section was different and I really enjoyed the hospital scene as that was the funniest. It is a good film if you like the entire franchise (and want to see the originals 😛 ) but it lacked tension or a dramatic plot. I did get confused at the beginning as I had never seen the series and had to be filled in by my Father. I felt like I needed to know the series making me feel a little lost at the beginning of the movie.

This is the third film in the Little Mermaid franchise and is a prequel to the story. I personally expected this film to be just as disappointing as the second film but I was happily surprised 🙂 . It is a pleasant narrative and the songs are passable (Not exactly as memorable as the Classic) but I did really like the Villain’s song “Just One Mistake”. I liked that we got to see the sisters with personalities and individual character traits, plus I enjoyed the tale overall (the mother and the entire beginning section was good) 🙂 . I do miss Ursula and would have loved to see her again, possible learning why she was banished from the Kingdom? But I did like Marina Del Ray, she was funny and gave a decent reason to be a villain. However, the character seemed to be coping Ursula with her “pets” and Sebastian should have a had more songs than “Jump in the Line” (it was a shame, I like this song but Disney…couldn’t you write him an original?). Overall, it is a very enjoyable movie that continues the theme of the Little Mermaid more than the sequel.
This is a shockingly good film 🙂 ! I was gripped, captivated and felt really sick with what the poor skiers had to go through with this film! It is intense and you do feel sorry for the characters, desperate for them all to survive. The acting in this thriller is performed really good by the three leading actors; Emma Bell, Shawn Ashmore and Kevin Zegers! I will criticize the ending a little as I would have loved to see the faces of the guards of the ski lift (it would have given me a satisfactory feeling for the poor skiers). This film is not for the fainthearted as this survival thriller is gruesome but it is a seriously good edge-of-your-seat performance. I have not been gripped in a movie as much as this one in a long time 😛 . Enjoy!
This is the sequel to the Jurassic Park film and I will say from the start it is not as good as the first. The story has promise and overall I did enjoy watching it but I felt like something was missing. I like the dinosaurs in the world outside of a Park (when you watch it you will know what I mean) and the scene in the long grass is the best section 😛 . I enjoyed seeing some of the original cast back as it was nice acknowledging the two young children grown up. However, I missed Alan Grant! Also I missed the old personality of Ian Malcolm and how he was such a womanizer in the first film. It felt like Ian was playing Alan in this film and it did not seem right. However, it is a good film overall so if you like Jurassic Park I would advice watching this but it won’t be as good as the first one.
