James and the Giant Peach

James and the Giant Peach (1996)

Genre: Animation,  Adventure, Family Film, Children, Musical, Tim Burton, Disney

James and the Giant Peach is a typical 90’s movie that I cannot help but think of my childhood. Watching this film you cannot help but notice the old fashioned styling of the 90’s but the clever use of stop-motion and live action for the majority of the film, (the scenes with the bugs and peach 🙂 ) helps keep this film top notch. The songs are memorable, maybe not the best voices in the world but definitely give you a smile 🙂 I still love the acting of Aunt Sponge (Miriam Margolyes) and Aunt Spiker (Joanna Lumley) 🙂 Plus once you have watched this film you will remember the scenes (unforgettable) and you will see a evidence of a Tim Burton / Walt Disney Film creating a wonderful Roald Dahl film 🙂

I give this film 3 stars out of 5.

Marvelous things will happen!
